May 15, 2020, Leavenworth, WA - The team behind VRScheduler, a leading software platform for managing staff scheduling and operational task management for the vacation rental industry has launched a series of easy-to-follow online cleaning certification courses designed to support the education and wellbeing of housekeepers and maintenance departments of vacation rentals, condos and boutique hotels. Part of the proceeds from the course will go to the Vacation Rental Housekeeper Relief Fund.
The courses, which are currently available in English and Spanish with more languages planned, teach workers to minimize the spread of COVID-19 as well as how to keep safe themselves whilst working within properties. Concepts are taught in easy to understand, bite-sized lessons followed by short quizzes to solidify understanding.
The courses were developed by experienced housekeepers and hospitality industry experts with content based on guidelines from WHO, CDC, OSHA, FDA as well as review by Washington state regional expert resources. Staff who complete the course will be rewarded with a certificate, and businesses that commit to all their staff completing with the course will receive a badge with a unique number to prove their commitment to staff and guest safety certificate.

For every course that is purchased, $1 is donated to The Housekeeper Relief Fund, a not-for-profit fund set up in light of COVID-19 to provide support to housekeepers, many of whom are economically vulnerable during this time.
