Remember that if you’re hiring employees, you have to charge enough per hour to cover your overhead and labor expenses while maintaining a profit of at least 20 percent after all expenses have been paid. You also need to include your salary within your overhead expenses.

For example, say the customer wants their bathroom, bedrooms, and kitchen cleaned, each of which takes 30, 60, and 40 minutes, respectively. You’ll add those times together, so you’ll get 130 minutes, and divide by 60 and multiply your hourly rate of $35.
So, 130/60 = 2.17 x $35 = $75.95. The number that you get at the end is how much you’ll charge your customer.
